About

Amalia’s passion for art started at a young age when she discovered all that Crayola has to offer. Like many toddlers, her first exposure to art was receiving her first box of classic Crayola crayons. She would take her box of crayons and spread them across the living room floor so that she could use each color in her drawings.

Eventually Amalia started to dabble in acrylic paint by attending several Creative Kid camps at Studio Life Art in Fall River. There she was able to explore different types of materials and techniques and discover different ways of creative expression while reflecting on all the amazing art that surrounds us everyday.

Later Amalia was introduced to acrylic pouring art via You Tube while looking for an activity to fill the last few days of summer vacation in 2018. After creating a few pieces and sharing it on Facebook with mom’s friends, Amalia was invited to display and sell her new art at the at the Southcoast Open Air Market (SOAM) events.

SOAM has been Amalia’s home for displaying and selling all of her acrylic pouring art since 2018 and she looks forward to the 2020 season and the new art pieces she is creating. Amalia was also invited to display and sell her artwork at No Joke Smoke BBQ restaurant in Swansea MA.

2019 KID BIZ ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR

Since 2018 SOAM has been providing a venue for kids to thrive as entrepreneurs by establishing the KID BIZ program. Kids that love to create are able to setup at a SOAM event and sell their creations.

Somerset Federal Credit Union has been sponsoring the KID BIZ program since 2019 and they held a luncheon to celebrate all the KID BIZ participants. During this event they presented Amalia with the 2019 KID BIZ Entrepreneur Of The Year Award for her continuous efforts to hone her craft and innovate her product offering.
